EINSTEIN: Expedition Deep Into The Glacier

‘Einstein’, named after the Swiss physicist and Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein, is an in-house production of Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). Its goal is to inform, educate and entertain the public with fascinating stories from all areas of science.
The glaciers in the Swiss Alps are melting due to global warming. The meltwater from the ‘Plaine Morte Glacier’ poses a threat to the mountain village of Lenk in the Bernese Alps. To understand and address this issue, scientists are studying the water channels inside the glacier.
In the 40-minute documentary Expedition Deep Into The Glacier, presenter Tobias Müller embarks on a bold journey into the heart of the glacier, exploring this climatic hotspot.
