Greg has been a Director of MHF for over five years and was appointed chairman of the Foundation’s Australian Antarctic Festival last year. He will now be responsible for the day to day running of the Foundation and its operations which includes the Mawson’s Huts Replica Museum.
A joint founding director of Chimu Adventures which has been the Foundation’s principal sponsor for the past 10 years, Greg has nearly 20 years involvement with the Antarctic in addition to a broader business knowledge covering a range of sectors.
David, who founded MHF in 1997, will continue in his role as chairman focusing on broader policy issues as well as promoting and developing the Foundation ‘s education programme. This includes the development of Antarctic Explorer, a information system using IBM based artificial intelligence which is currently being beta tested. Together with Greg he will continue to look after expeditions to Cape Denison and the ongoing conservation programme of Mawson’s Huts.

Also effective July 1 Greg Holland has returned as a Board member. The Foundation is looking to announcing additional board members and appoint additional staff this year in building a platform for the Foundation’s growth in coming years.
